Complete Steering Assembly
This is the complete steering assembly as used on THE CRATE kit car. It’s 45” wide tip to tip and features 3/8” kingpins riding in brass bushings and has self aligning bearings to support the steering shaft. Tie rods are 5/16” and have a center turnbuckle for simple toe adjustment. The steering yoke is 7/8” for easy mounting of bicycle style hand controls or grips. Steering geometry is 10 degrees of positive caster (if mounted parallel to the ground) and 3 degrees of negative camber. Ackermann steering geometry based on approximately 55” wheel base. Designed to use our 14” or 16” front wheels with 160mm disc brakes.
Includes upper bearing support crossmember with dash panel.
